Its Only A Movie are a new fan site inspired by a love of 80s video shop nostalgia and pre-cert horror!

It all started back in 1983, our family started up a video rental shop in South Manchester, over the years they amassed a haul of pre-cert gems. Back then, our dad would often bring home tapes from the shop, and we’d usually get to watch them.

One day we found a copy of The Evil Dead, having recently being banned from UK shelves during the video nasty era. It was my first glimpse of horror on tape, and being around 5 years old, it scared the s*** out of me! From there on in, I was hooked!
